On June 22, Qinfang Expressway, an important branch of the reconstruction and expansion project of Nanqinfang Expressway, started the construction of the asphalt upper layer. According to the plan, the reconstruction and expansion project of Nanqinfang Expressway will be completed and opened to traffic before this year's National Day.

The Qinfang Expressway is an important branch line of the Nanqinfang Reconstruction and Expansion Project, a major project in the region promoted by the autonomous region government. The total length of the line is 30 kilometers. It is a two-way four-lane to eight-lane expansion construction. The project started in September 2017. At present, Qinfang Expressway has started the construction of the asphalt upper layer, and the cumulative completion of a single asphalt upper layer is 10.2 kilometers.

In order to speed up the construction progress, the owner Guangxi Beibu Gulf Investment Group Co., Ltd. made overall arrangements, and the construction unit overcame the impact of high temperature and rainy weather, optimized the construction organization, and increased investment in personnel and equipment. At present, Qinfang Expressway has invested a total of 87 sets of road construction machinery and equipment and 3 sets of asphalt mixing stations, with more than 1,000 construction workers.

The construction of all beams and slabs of the Xijiang Bridge, the key control project of the reconstruction and expansion project of Nanqinfang Expressway, has been completed on June 12, 2019, and it is expected to be open to traffic in both directions at the end of June. The successful completion of the task of opening to traffic has laid a solid foundation.

After the Nanqinfang Expressway is completed and opened to traffic, the two-way eight lanes will meet the daily traffic volume of 100,000 vehicles, which will greatly improve the traffic capacity and service level of this major transportation channel. It is of great significance to promote the regional economic and social development and the upgrading of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area due to the demand for collection and distribution in the Beibu Gulf.
